Timeline of Lessons Learnt

Week 1

Introduction

We did a quick review of what was learnt in our previous module EP1000. We also were told what we would be learning in this module.


Fab Academy Student Agreement

We were also given this agreement which tells us what Fablab and we students are responsible for.

Week 2

Electronics Production

We were taught about the ways electrical boards are produced. We were taught how to use the Stepcraft 420.

Week 3

Electronics Design

We were taught how to make our own hello-world board using EAGLE.


Week 4
& 5

Electronics Production & Design

We started fabricating our own FTDI & UPDI Boards with Stepcraft 420. We continued by fabricating our own hello-world Boards with Stepcraft 420.

Week 6

2D CNC

We were introduced to 2D CNC and how to prepare our design for CNC Machining.

Week 7

Embedded Programming

We learnt how to use Arduino to program our hello-world board.

We were taught how to mill a coaster, and to start planning for our large scale CNC assignment.

Final Project

I started working on my final project where I worked on creating a plant watering system.
